Hospitality Action South-West Polo Day
Taste Hospitality are making their way down to the Cotswolds on Sunday, as the countdown is almost over for Caroline and Sophie, who are attending Hospitality Action’s South-West Polo Day.
There’s much to look forward to, and the weather has made a promise to be kind, so it should be a great day.
Beside the sporting spectacle, there is exceptional food waiting as an all-star cast of chefs are set to put together a delectable four course lunch.
The dream team comprises pastry aficionado Claire Clarke MBE, famous Consultant Chef and formerly Michelin Starred Daniel Galmiche, as well as current Executive Head Chefs Chris Cleghorn, Hywel Jones, Ricki Weston and Jamie McCallum.
If you’re attending too, be sure to say hello!

A new site is set to open this summer in God’s own country, as Grantley Hall revealed its very own local country pub; describing it as a “relaxed yet refined dining and drinking destination” in Grantley village and a short walk from the hall itself.
If there’s one word you associate with Grantley Hall, it’s destination; the 5 Red Star AA Rated estate is home to multiple award-winning restaurants and is the kind of property that, as you follow its winding approach and the building comes into view, makes you want to don a top hat and pretend you’re in Downton.
According to local news outlet ‘Your Harrogate’, the culinary offering of the new pub will be headed up by Gavin Swift, the hotel’s current Senior Sous Chef; and will “showcase delicious seasonal dishes with a twist on classic pub favourites, all crafted using the finest local ingredients.”
Grantley Hall’s Managing Director Richard Sykes said:
“At Grantley Hall, warm hospitality is at the heart of everything we do – and that same spirit is what makes a truly great local pub. Grantley Arms is a proud new chapter for us, and one we’re incredibly excited to share with both our hotel guests and the local community.”
Stu Deeley
I apologise for bombarding you with even more Head Chef news, but it’s not my fault! Former MasterChef: The Professionals champion Stuart Deeley has rejoined the Eden Hotel Collection, where he worked early on in his career.

Before coming full circle, the smiley, Brummy born chef’s curriculum vitae is brimming with award-winning properties including Birmingham’s Wilderness and Simpsons as well as Hampton Manor a little outside of the city.
He’s set to join the Eden Collection’s Mallory Court, where he will head up The Warwick which opens from the 18th June this year.

You can read all about what The Warwick will have to offer under Deeley’s stewardship here, but this beautiful quote from the site describes his menus and dishes as “deeply personal – born from childhood memories, global inspiration, and a love for produce at its peak.”
If that doesn’t intrigue the tastebuds, then I’m afraid to say I don’t know what would.
