The Fields to Fork Festival is heading to Whitebottom Farm in Stockport over the weekend of 3rd and 4th May, featuring live music, cooking demonstrations, a whole host of well-known chefs and fantastic food and drink.
With the weather being what it is at the moment, we have to hope for some consistency as it will be a beautiful weekend in the sun if so!
You can get your tickets here.
The estate itself is set in gorgeous countryside so it’s a fantastic opportunity to get out and around nature, satisfy some hunger pangs, while getting to see some big names cooking up close.
Confirmed chefs in attendance include no less than four Masterchef: The Professionals champions – Stu Deeley, Dan Lee, Nikita Pathakiji and 2024’s winner Dan Merriman; alongside Lisa Goodwin-Allen, who until very recently headed up Northcote’s Michelin Star restaurant and two Michelin Starred Aktar Islam of Opheem.
While I’m on the subject of Opheem, I have just booked my train tickets to Birmingham on 31st May, where I’ll be settling down to a 10 course tasting menu at the famous restaurant, and the only Indian outside of London to hold one Michelin Star, never mind two!

Off to Opheem!
It promises to be an absolute delight, and I can’t wait to experience and write a piece about it. You can visit the website and see for yourself what treats await me!
Finally, if you’re looking for exciting new openings across the UK, The Caterer has your back right here.
Being where we are, I’m particularly excited about Lina Stores. The London based restaurants group is opening their first doors outside of London in magnificent Manchester.
I’ve read about this place and the palpable excitement it’s sure to bring, with an all-day restaurant serving antipasti, fresh pasta, secondi and dolci for lunch and dinner, a delicatessen and their classic Italian cocktail bar, Bar Lina.
