As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef in leading the kitchen operation, helping to maintain consistently high standards while supporting the development of the brigade.
This is an ideal role for an experienced Sous Chef looking for a fresh challenge or a strong Junior Sous Chef ready to take the next step within a respected fresh food environment.
As Sous Chef you will:
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead and motivate the brigade during busy services
- Maintain exceptional standards of food quality and presentation
- Support menu development and seasonal specials
- Assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation
- Train and mentor junior members of the team
- Ensure food hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained at all times
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
The ideal candidate will have a strong fresh food background, excellent organisational skills, and a genuine passion for producing high-quality food using outstanding ingredients.
You will be a hands-on chef who leads by example and enjoys working within a professional kitchen where teamwork, consistency, and attention to detail are valued.
