As Operations Manager, you will take a broad view of the business, making sure the different departments are working effectively together and that guests receive a consistently high standard of service.
You will be involved in everything from staffing and rotas through to guest experience, reservations, functions and day-to-day commercial performance. The role is varied and practical, with plenty of scope to identify improvements, introduce better ways of working and support the team in delivering a successful operation.
As Operations Manager you will:
- Oversee the smooth running of the property across all operational areas
- Lead, support and motivate departmental managers and supervisors
- Monitor service standards and guest satisfaction
- Take responsibility for staffing, rotas and operational planning
- Oversee reservations, occupancy and the guest journey
- Coordinate weddings, functions and other events
- Identify opportunities to improve standards, efficiency and profitability
- Recruit, train and develop members of the team
- Deal confidently with guest feedback and resolve issues where required
- Work alongside senior management on the ongoing running and development of the business
We are looking for an experienced hospitality manager who is comfortable taking responsibility across a broad operation.
Your background could be in hotel management, operations, food and beverage or a similar senior hospitality position, but you will need to be commercially aware, well organised and confident making decisions.
This could suit an established Operations Manager looking for a new challenge, a Hotel Manager ready for a different environment, or a strong Deputy or Duty Manager looking to take the next step.
Most importantly, you will be someone who enjoys being part of the operation, understands what good hospitality looks like and can bring structure, energy and consistency to a busy business.
