We are recruiting a Head Chef for a beautiful country hotel in beautiful Herefordshire countryside, offering an excellent opportunity to lead a talented kitchen team while working alongside an experienced Executive Chef across two unique hospitality properties.

The kitchen focuses on creating flavour-driven dishes that showcase local produce, with menus evolving throughout the year to reflect the seasons and the exceptional ingredients available.
This role would suit an experienced Head Chef looking for a fresh challenge, or a strong Sous Chef ready to take the next step and lead their own kitchen.

As Head Chef, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, leading the brigade while ensuring consistently high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
You will have the opportunity to put your own stamp on the food offering while benefiting from the support and guidance of a highly experienced senior leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent organisational ability, and a genuine passion for producing high-quality food using seasonal ingredients.
You will be commercially aware, calm under pressure, and capable of leading a team while maintaining the highest standards throughout service.
As Head Chef you will:
- Lead and inspire the kitchen brigade on a daily basis
- Work closely with the Executive Chef on menu development and seasonal dishes
- Manage food costs, GP targets, stock control, and ordering
- Maintain exceptional standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure all food hygiene and health and safety standards are met
- Train, develop, and motivate junior members of the team
- Drive consistency throughout all areas of the kitchen operation
- Deliver excellent food in a busy service environment
Own transport is required due to the location of the property.
