This is a hands-on General Manager position for someone who enjoys being visible in the restaurant, leading from the front and creating a team culture where high standards come naturally.
You will take overall responsibility for the restaurant and bar operation, ensuring the team delivers an excellent guest experience while maintaining strong operational and commercial standards.
As Restaurant General Manager you will:
- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar
- Lead, motivate and develop the front of house team
- Ensure consistently high standards of service and guest experience
- Be visible and hands-on during busy services, leading by example
- Manage recruitment, training, performance and team development
- Oversee rotas, staffing levels and operational planning
- Take responsibility for ordering, stock control and cost management
- Monitor standards across the restaurant and ensure company procedures are followed
- Deal confidently with guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Work closely with the wider management team to drive the success of the restaurant
The Person
You must have previous experience as a Restaurant General Manager within a similar high-volume or quality-led restaurant environment. This is an essential requirement, and unfortunately applications without relevant General Manager experience cannot be considered.
You will be a confident and engaging leader who enjoys bringing the best out of people, with strong operational knowledge and a genuine passion for hospitality. You will be organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of a busy restaurant, while still being someone who enjoys being part of the team on the floor.
