General Manager – Oxfordshire – 2AA Rosettes – Up to 45K basic

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and talented General Manager to join this multi award winning quaint country inn situated within a charming town in the county of Oxfordshire.

This historic inn is full of character and offers exquisite dining within relaxed and cosy surroundings.

While the exterior exudes all the charm of a traditional pub, the interior has been transformed into a modern eatery, with bright white walls and large windows that beautifully luminate the airy dining room.

They also have a cosy bar area with low ceilings and open fire, perfect for a winters evening.

The inn also houses some beautifully appointed bedrooms that are modern and individually designed, allowing diners to sleep as well as dine in luxury.

The award-winning Head Chef has put together a delectable a la carte menu, brimming with Modern British dishes, and he uses only the finest local produce. They serve food from 12 midday to 9pm Monday to Saturday and 12 midday until 8pm on Sunday and the ambience is warm and friendly.

The role also offers the chance to carry out straight shifts meaning you will be able to work within an outstanding environment, while still maintaining a good work life balance.

As General Manager you will report directly to the owners who have owned the Inn for a number of years and they have fabulous reputation in the area.

You will:

  • Have experience of working within a similar position within a high-quality restaurant or hotel which is to a high standard
  • Oversee the running of the food and beverage department therefore a strong background within the food and beverage operation is essential
  • Ensure staff are working to exceptionally high standards at all times
  • Have a professional approach with a friendly personality and be standards driven
  • Be a strong team player and be able to lead by example to ensure your high standards filter through the team
