Reception Manager – Luxury Country Estate – East Sussex

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Reception Manager ready to lead a dedicated team in a tranquil countryside retreat in East Sussex.

Nestled in the heart of the East Sussex countryside, this expansive resort is a peaceful haven surrounded by ancient woodland, gently undulating parkland, and the sweeping beauty of the South Downs.

 

It’s a destination that draws golfers, spa-goers, leisure guests and conference delegates alike – all seeking a touch of luxury in a tranquil rural setting.

 

The property offers contemporary yet comfortable bedrooms, a sleek spa and leisure club, and a choice of inviting dining options ranging from casual lunches to elegant evening meals – all set within beautifully kept grounds that change with the seasons.

 

We’re now looking for a confident and professional Reception Manager to lead the front office team and help make every guest’s arrival and departure as memorable as the stay itself.

As Reception Manager, you’ll be the welcoming face of the property, leading from the front and ensuring every guest enjoys a seamless and memorable stay.

 

You’ll oversee a small, dedicated front office team, drive high standards in guest service, and work closely with the Rooms Division and senior management teams to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the resort.

 

You’ll Be:

 

  • A natural host with excellent communication and people management skills
  • Experienced in a quality hotel or resort environment, ideally with exposure to golf or leisure-led operations
  • Calm, confident and unflappable – even when it’s busy
  • Skilled in managing rotas, training team members, and hitting guest satisfaction targets
  • Familiar with PMS systems (Opera experience is a plus!)
  • Able to lead by example and energise your team with positivity and professionalism
