A Junior Sous Chef / Sous Chef required in a beautiful part of Hertfordshire for this award-winning restaurant serving regional fresh produce focusing on the best local suppliers.
They are looking for a Sous Chef with a good background and someone who has the ability to produce high level cuisine.
The Restaurant is cosy and welcoming for both regular customers and customers coming from further afield.
The menu is a seasonal menu which is a combination of traditional British and European cuisine with modern influences.
You will need to be a Sous Chef who is innovative and committed with a passion for excellent food, ingredients and service.
You will be required to maintain high quality and consistency with a professional “can do” attitude.
Your background will be working within establishments that focus on fresh produce and create high standard food.
The role will involve effectively managing and running the kitchen alongside the current Head Chef, whilst also ensuring that the kitchen meets all food safety and hygiene standards.
You will have held a similar position in a comparable establishment and have solid leadership and training/mentoring qualities, a strong grasp of kitchen management and be an excellent team player.
